About 185 catering companies are competing in this year’s Hajj to provide 15 million meals to the pilgrims in the holy sites, according to what the head of the catering and catering sect in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Ahmed Al-Sharif explained to Al-Arabiya.net, who confirmed that there are other complementary meals to the pilgrim’s dish of snacks. And juices, milk, water, fresh fruits, and hot and cold drinks, during their presence in the holy sites.
He said that about 185 catering companies have been rehabilitated by the Municipality of the Holy Capital, and the rehabilitation is still continuing to create a competitive environment to provide the best service to the pilgrims in Hajj this year, as these companies will provide the pilgrims with three main meals, interspersed with snacks during their presence in the holy sites.
He pointed out that the meals are varied according to the wishes of the pilgrims, and it is required that they be safe, and that they are prepared and presented in accordance with the requirements of the Food and Drug Authority and the Secretariat of the Holy Capital.
